VCs in €5m round for Klima
Germany-based venture capital investors EVentures, 468 Capital and HV Holtzbrinck Ventures have backed a €5m seed round for Klima, an app that allows users to make donations to mitigate their carbon footprint.
The round was also backed by business angels including Pitch founder Christian Reber, Wooga founder Jens Begemenn, and Niklas Jansen, co-founder of Blinkist.
Klima is planning to launch an invite-only beta app for Android and iOS.
EVentures is currently investing via EVentures Europe VI, which held a final close in July 2019 on $175m.

Founded in 2019, Klima has developed a smartphone app that allows users to calculate their carbon footprint and then make donations to climate change projects and organisations. The firm is based in Berlin and has nine employees, according to LinkedIn.
