DBAG invests in Hausheld
Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) has acquired a minority stake in Germany-based smart meter business Hausheld.
The GP said in a statement that it expects to see long-term growth in the company in line with the German government's energy strategy, which requires homes to install smart meters.
The deal is part of DBAG's strategy to make long-term expansion capital minority investments in owner-managed mid-market companies via its balance sheet. The firm announced the strategy on the first close of its latest buyout fund, as reported.
Company
Founded in 1995, Hausheld produces and installs smart electricity meters and networks for homes and cities. Its client base largely comprises municipal utility companies in Germany. Based in Mönchengladbach, the company has 10 employees, according to LinkedIn.
