Balderton leads $15m series-A for Vivenu
Balderton Capital has led a $15m round for online ticketing platform Vivenu.
Balderton is currently deploying via Balderton Capital VII, which held a final close in November 2019 on $400m. The fund makes investments of around $5-10m, targeting early-stage and expansion investments.
Redalpine Capital is also backing the company, deploying equity via Redalpine Capital IV. The fund held a final close in March 2019 on €100m and deploys equity tickets of €300,000-3m, investing up to €10m per company.
American football team San Francisco 49ers is also investing, marking its first investment in Europe.
The startup aims to use the fresh capital to develop its product, expand to new markets and grow its team. Vivenu has sold two million tickets on its online platform since March 2020, in spite of the significant impact that the coronavirus pandemic has had on the events industry, according to a statement.
Previous funding
In March 2020, Redalpine backed a €1.45m seed round for Vivenu.
