VCs in CHF 20m funding round for H55
ND Capital and Tippet Venture Partners have led a CHF 20m financing round for Switzerland-based electric aviation startup H55.
The company's investor base also includes Ace & Company and a number of US investors, according to a statement. H55 is Ace & Company's second investment to be announced in December 2020, following its participation in the CHF 20m round for Anybotics.
Following the round, H55 intends to hire staff in the areas of engineering and operations. The company aims to achieve design and product certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in 2021. The company also expects its first product to be used by aircraft manufacturers to provide electric flight trainers in pilot schools by 2022.

In February 2018, ND Capital (then known as Nanodimension) led a funding round for H55.
Company
H55 develops electric propulsion and battery management devices for use in aviation vehicles. The company intends to facilitate the aviation industry's transition to clean energy. Founded in 2015 and based in Sion, H55 employs 26 people, according to LinkedIn.
