Battery and Hasso Plattner back GoEuro with seed funding
Battery Ventures has led a $4m seed round for German travel search platform GoEuro, which also attracted funding from Hasso Plattner Ventures (HPV) and business angels.
Battery and HPV's funding will support GoEuro's product development and recruitment drive as the company releases its platform in closed beta. The funding will then be used to facilitate market entry.

GoEuro is a multi-mode travel search engine for Europe that compares and combines air, rail, bus and car rental options. The platform allows users to plan their journey from start to finish selecting multiple preferences, such as price, total travel time and convenience. The business is based in Berlin.

Yaron Valler worked on the deal as managing partner at HPV, alongside Itzik Parnafes, general partner at Battery.
