
Beyond Capital buys LDBS Lichtdienst
Beyond Capital has acquired a majority stake in German lighting technology distributor LDBS.
The sale was initiated by the company's founders and handled as an auction process. There will be no changes to the management team.
The GP said it was attracted by the company's innovative management approach as well as its growth forecast.
Beyond Capital plans to grow the value of the company through a buy-and-build strategy and by expanding the customer base through its industry network.
LDBS is the first acquisition of Beyond Capital's first fund, Capital Partners Fund I, for which fundraising is ongoing. The GP was founded last year.
Beyond Capital invests up to €15m in mid-size companies in the DACH region with an annual turnover of €10-100m and that face structural challenges.

Founded in 2008 and based in Falkensee, LDBS is a lighting technology business that distributes lamps, luminaries and components. It also offers other services connected to lighting. The company has almost 100 employees. unquote" understands that LDBS's most recent annual turnover stood at €25m.
