
HTGF divests Till in trade sale
High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) has sold its stake in digital decoration company Till to packaging technology manufacturer Krones.
The 51% stake was held by HTGF and other private investors. The remaining 49% of shares are held by the company's founders, who will continue to play an active role in Till.
HTGF had been invested in the company since 2011, developing the company and bringing it to market.
Krones is a packaging and bottling machine manufacturer headquartered in Neutraubling. Its machines are used by breweries and soft drink manufacturers, in the food industry, as well as in pharmaceuticals. It employs 12,285 people worldwide and sells 90% of its machines outside Germany. In 2013, the company generated €2.8bn in turnover.

Founded in 2011 in Hofheim, Till develops systems for direct digital printing onto containers. Its modular machines are said to be suited for use in the packaging market, as they offer an alternative to conventional labelling. It has a range of products, including modular smartprint machines, which can process up to 600 containers per minute.
