
Balderton Capital et al. back Contentful
Balderton Capital and Point Nine Capital have provided seed funding for Contentful, a Berlin-based content management platform for web and mobile applications.
In addition to the funding round, Contentful announced the launch of its beta programme today.
The company has also established a global advisory board of content and technology specialists that include executives from BBC Worldwide, Rovio and Benchmark.

Founded in 2011 by Sascha Konietzke (CEO) and Paolo Negri (CTO), Berlin-based Contentful is a content management platform for web and mobile applications.
The cloud-based service enables the distribution of content across multiple platforms with one single content input, by taking an API-first approach to content management. It provides content for apps on iOS, Android and interactive HTML5 and JavaScript applications.
