Springfondet et al. back Swarm64

Springfondet invested NOK 2m via its fund Springfondet II. The remaining NOK 2.5m was provided by angel investors.

The fresh capital will be used for further development of the company.

Arne Graee, who is the former CEO of Tandberg Television, has taken on the position as chairman of the board.

Springfondet sourced the deal through its proprietary networks. The investor chose to back the company due to its team of technical developers as well as its large market potential.

Eivind Liland and Thomas Richter co-founded Swarm64 in 2012 with the aim of disrupting the server market. The firm is based in Berlin. 

Swarm64 is an ICT start-up that redesigns the structure of servers in order to optimise power for emerging cloud applications.
