
Faber- and Portugal Ventures-backed Chic by Choice acquires La Remia
London-based luxury fashion rentals platform Chic by Choice has acquired its German competitor La Remia.
The founders of La Remia, Anna Mangold and Claudia von Boeselager, will continue to work with the company as advisers. However, La Remia will not remain an independent entity.
Chic by Choice received €500,000 in seed funding from Faber Ventures, Portugal Ventures and other investors in June 2014. The company is currently raising its series-A.
Both lead investors are Portuguese venture capitalists. Portugal Ventures specialises in start-up and expansion transactions in Europe and Portugese-speaking Africa. Faber invests in early- and later-stage technology ventures.

Founded in 2013 and based in Berlin, the startup La Remia is a women's designer dress-rental company.
People
Filipa Neto and Lara Vidreiro are the founders of Chic by Choice. Anna Mangold and Claudia von Boeselager are the founders of La Remia.
