Electrovac Group (Austria) - Dec 2007

DZ Equity Partner has agreed to acquire 26.1% of Electrovac Group for €10m-15m. The stake being sold was owned by the Bank Austria Private Equity-Fonds UBF, which is in its exit phase and is expected to be dissolved soon. The acquisition is part of DZ Equity’s plan to increase activity in Austria.

Company

Electrovac is a globally active group specialising in compound materials enabling high power density in electronic engineering processes. The company’s products are also utilized in photonics (lightemitting semiconductors) and for temperature-resistant sensors. Customers include the capital goods industry, power electronics, automotive industry and manufacturers of household appliances. Products and appliances are also manufactured for the aviation industry, medical equipment industry, telecommunications, and other high-tech industries. Most are based in Europe, Asia, and North America. Electrovac was founded in 1947, employs 900 staff and is headquartered in Klosterneuburg.

Electrovac’s CEO is Stefan Petters with Alfred Hager acting as the company’s CFO.
