
Gründerfonds Münsterland completes first investment
eCAPITAL has invested a six-figure sum into Variowell Development GmbH.
The equity is drawn from Gründerfonds Münsterland. The funds will be used for the market entry of the company's first product, the mattress Geneva NG, which was introduced at the imm cologne fair in January. The company approached the investor after press coverage.
The company does not anticipate requiring further funding during 2010, as it is now beginning to generate turnover.

Variowell develops and produces intelligent foams with variable grades of flexibility. The company was founded in Münster in April 2008 and plans to employ up to 28 people in the mid-term.

The investment was made by Dr Paul-Josef Patt. Gründerfonds Münsterland is a regional development fund with EUR 8m in capital, which invests up to EUR 500,000 in companies in the Münsterland region. It is funded by NRW.Bank, Sparkasse Münsterland Ost, Sparkasse Westmünsterland, die Kreissparkasse Steinfurt and eCAPITAL AG, which manages the fund.
