HTGF backs Se M Labs' €780,000 seed round
Stuttgart-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) business Se M Labs has raised €780,000 from High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and other investors.
MBG Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg and a business angel invested alongside the VC.
HTGF stated it decided to invest because SaaS-solutions are a novelty in the German leasing market and have potential for scaling internationally.
MBG invests in Baden-Württemberg across all sectors in small and medium-sized enterprises, providing between €25,000-2.5m. The publicly funded investment company provides seed investments, startup financing and growth financing to established companies.
Company
Founded in 2015 and based in Stuttgart, Se M Labs' software is a link between capital goods and the billing of the financial service. The company claims its software helps customers reduce their internal expenditures and enter new markets such as pay-per-use financing models and telemetry-driven business models.
