
Sun European Partners buys C&K
Sun European Partners has wholly acquired electromechanical switch business C&K for an undisclosed sum.
With the fresh capital, C&K intends to expand into new markets and add new switch products to its existing portfolio.
Founded in France in 1928, C&K is now headquartered in Newton, Massachusetts, with design centres in Dole, France, and Huizhou, China. It delivers electromechanical switches to 20,000 customers in the industrial, automotive, aerospace, medical, consumer products, transportation and telecoms industries. The manufacturer employs 1,500 people.
Sun European Partners specialises in leveraged buyouts, turnarounds and debt investments. It seeks to invest in companies generating turnover ranging from €30m-€3bn operating across a broad range of sectors across Europe. It has recently acquired a number of businesses in France, including beauty and pharmaceutical packaging firm Albea and brake hose manufacturer Flexitech.
