
Gores Group acquires Sagem Communications
US private equity firm The Gores Group has completed its purchase of Sagem Communications, from aerospace and defence company Safran, in a deal which valued the business at EUR383m. In an auction run by Rothshild and UBS, The Gores Group beat six rival bids notably from Permira and AXA Private Equity. The Gore Group defeated Francisco Partners in the final round. (January 2008, page 40) The company recorded sales of EUR1.2bn in 2007.
