
Montefiore Investment ups stake in Auto Escape
Montefiore Investment has increased its shareholding in Alternext-listed Auto Escape to 80.88% of the capital and 80.62% of the voting rights.
Montefiore had previously purchased OFI Private Equity and Viveris Management's 46.66% stake in the company with a share price offer of EUR2.80, which valued the company at EUR14.6m (April 2009, page 49). Montefiore Investment invested via their fund, Montefiore Investment II.
Auto Escape is an online car rental operator. The company offers its customers the opportunity to choose and book their car online across 200 different geographic locations
The website is globally partnered with all the large car hire companies such as Hertz, Budget, Avis and Europcar. Auto Escape achieved a EUR26.6m turnover in 2008.
