Blue Capital increases stake in Carrefour
Blue Capital has upped their share in Euronext-listed Carrefour from the 9.1% stake it bought a year ago to 10.7% making it Carrefour's largest single shareholder. Blue Capital is jointly owned by the holding company of French billionaire and chairman of LVMH Bernard Arnault and the US property group Colony Capital. Carrefour is the second-largest retailer in the world. Blue Capital had two seats on the board and has been granted a third to gain a more influential role in the global hypermarket chain.
