Emertec's president retires
Emertec Gestions's president Philippe Capdevielle has retired after holding the role for 10 years. The position will be taken up by Bernard Maitre who, along with the investment team, will continue to oversee the management of the first three funds. The team will also manage the investments from new fund Emertec IV, which has currently raised around EUR60m and is nearing its final close. The Grenoble-based investor will continue to focus on early-stage investments in cleantechs and renewable energy as well as micro and nano technology. Emertec recently invested EUR1.1m in Tiempo, a firm that develops and markets asynchronous IPs and EDA tools for the design of innovative clockless integrated circuits.
