AXA PE takes stake in TRE & Partners
AXA Private Equity has taken a 45% stake in TRE & Partners, a newly-established holding company designed to invest in wind, hydro and solar projects in Italy, as part of a joint venture with Italian industrial group Tozzi.
TRE & Partners consists of Tozzi Group assets, including both wind farms and hydroelectric projects already in operation as well as projects currently under development or construction, with a total gross capacity above 400MW.
The deal reinforces the partnership between the two parties, following the acquisition by AXA PE of a 30% stake in a wind farm in Serracapriola, which has a 42MW capacity.
