Ardian-backed Bricoprivé acquires Racetools
Bricoprivé, an online DIY, gardening and home improvement products retailer backed by Ardian, has acquired electric tools distributor Racetools.
The deal will strengthen Bricoprivé's position in the power tool sector, and will enable the company to reach further territories in continental Europe, starting with Spain and Italy.
Bricoprivé has generated gross revenues of approximately €75m in the last 12 months and is looking to reach €100m in the next year.
Previous investments
Ardian backed the Toulouse-based e-commerce website in June 2015 with €2.5m, and later in 2016 with €7m; both investments came from the Ardian Growth Fund and secured minority stakes in the company.
Company
Founded in June 2012 by Nicolas Leron, Racetools is a distributor of portable electric tools for professionals. The company has an outlet and a shipping facility as well as an after-sales service counter. It is headquartered in Nîmes.
