Bain's Autodistribution bolts-on AD Bosch
Bain Capital's Autodistribution, a France-based car parts distributor and repair services business, has acquired a 75% stake in Spanish family-owned AD Bosch, an automotive spare parts and garage equipment distributor.
Autodistribution, headquartered in France, has invested in the target via its Spanish subsidiary, AD Parts. The latter distributes products including automotive spare parts, lubricants, tyres, paints and garage equipment in Spain, Portugal and Andorra.
In 2017, Autodistribution and AD Parts acquired a joint stake in Spain-based Grup Eina Digital, a company offering training services and a technical hotline service for multi-brand workshops; the following year, they created AD Parts Intergroup, for the development of joint projects.
AD Bosch chairman Josep Bosch Sayols is also the founder and chairman of AD Parts and the chairman of AD Parts Intergroup.
TowerBrook Capital Partners and Investcorp owned Autodistribution between 2009-2015, until Bain Capital acquired a 93% stake in the business. The deal was thought to be worth around €615m, Unquote previously reported.
