
Vendis backs L'Atelier d'Amaya
Belgium-based private equity firm Vendis Capital has acquired a majority stake in France-based jewellery brand L'Atelier d'Amaya.
L'Atelier d'Amaya will use the investment proceeds to scale up its operations. Vendis regularly invests in consumer brands and has recently backed Noppies and Kamera Express.
Vendis is currently investing via Vendis Capital II, which closed in 2016. The fund provides tickets of €5-40m and targets companies with sales in the region of €10-120m.
The GP has previously invested in France, backing communication agency Mazarine in 2013 and smoothies producer Helixir in 2007, according to Unquote Data.

Founded in 2007, L'Atelier d'Amaya designs, manufactures and sells gold and silver jewellery through eight bricks-and-mortar shops, and its e-commerce platform. It is headquartered in Bordeaux.
The business generates revenues between €10-20m, Unquote understands.
