
Temasek leads $139m round for ManoMano
Singaporean investment firm Temasek has led a $139m funding round for ManoMano, a French garden e-commerce platform.
The round also saw participation from new and existing investors, including General Atlantic, Eurazeo, Piton Capital, BPI France and Kismet Holdings.
In 2019, the company grew by 50% with $666m in gross merchandise value. Overall, ManoMano has raised $344m over the past six years, according to Techcrunch.
With the new funding round, the company plans to recruit 200 people in Barcelona and Bordeaux.
Previous funding
The business first attracted a €600,000 seed investment in 2014, followed by a €2m funding round that same year.
Subsequently, ManoMano raised a €13m funding round from Partech Ventures, Piton, CM-CIC Capital Privé and BPI France in early 2016.
Growth investor General Atlantic backed ManoMano in a €60m series-C funding round in 2017. The round was also backed by previous investors Partech, Piton and BPI France.
In 2019, a consortium of new and previous backers invested €110m in the company. Eurazeo Growth and Aglae Ventures, as well as historical investors General Atlantic, BPI France, Partech, Piton, and CM-CIC contributed.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Paris, ManoMano is an online marketplace dedicated to DIY and gardening products. It operates in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium and the UK. The business currently employs 420 people, according to LinkedIn.
In 2018, ManoMano reported an 85% increase in sales and 2.5 million active clients, targeting €1bn in sales in 2020.
