
BlackFin, MTech in €8m series-A for Akur8
BlackFin Capital Partners and MTech Capital have backed a €8m series-A funding round for Akur8, a Paris-based insurance technology company specialised in insurance pricing optimisation.
The round brings Akur8's total funding to date to €10m. The fresh capital will be used to accelerate the company's international expansion throughout Europe and the US.
Previous funding
Kamet Ventures injected an undisclosed amount of initial investment into the company in 2018.

Its cloud-based software-as-a-service platform is in use by insurers in Europe and the Americas. The company is headquartered in Paris with a team of 25 people.
