
Abénex backs Prevost Laboratory Concept
Abénex Capital has acquired a majority stake in Prevost Laboratory Concept, a French cosmetics and food supplements specialist.
Arkéa Capital, the private equity arm of bank Arkéa, also joined as minority shareholder, while the company's founder and president, Veronique Prévost, remained with the business and retained her minority stake.
Abénex invested in Prevost via Abénex Croissance, a €150m fund that targets French SMEs with an enterprise value of €10-300m.
Company
Founded in 1992 and based in Nouvoitou, Prevost Laboratory Concept produces cosmetics, including plant-based anti-aging skin creams, toiletries, dietary and food supplements, and care products for pets.
The company also manufactures packaging for cosmetics and liquid food supplements.
Prevost employs 30 staff and generates revenues of around €8m.
