UI Investissement, Geneo back clinic operator GBNA
UI Investissement and Geneo Capital Entrepreneur have invested in French private healthcare business Groupe Bordeaux Nord Aquitaine (GBNA).
UI and Geneo have backed the company via a capital increase, partnering with the Guichard family, who controls the business.
GBNA intends to use the fresh capital to consolidate its market position and further boost its growth both organically and via acquisitions.
Previous funding
UI provided GBNA with €15m of growth capital funding in 2013, securing a minority stake. The firm exited its investment in July 2018.
Company
Established in 1967, GBNA is a private healthcare provider managing eight clinics with 1,600 beds in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region.
GBNA's clinics offer services across several medical specialities, including oncology, nephrology, obstetrics and ophthalmology.
Employing 2,350 staff, the company generated turnover of around €230m in 2020.
