Isai and Mosaic invest €1.7m in DataBerries
French VC Isai and recently founded London-based investor Mosaic Ventures have provided mobile marketing business DataBerries with a €1.7m round of funding.
Isai wrapped up fundraising for its second fund after collecting €75m in June, ahead of its €70m hard-cap, and formally announced the closing at the beginning of December. DataBerries is one of its first investments, with another expected in the short term.
This marks the first investment in France for Mosaic. The London-based VC firm was recently set up by Mike Chalfen (formerly of Advent Venture Partners), Toby Coppel and Simon Levene. The firm co-led a $7m funding round for Berlin-based women's health app Clue in October.
DataBerries stated it would use the fresh capital to recruit new engineers in order to bolster its technological edge over its competition. It will also initiate the commercial launch of its first services.
Company
Founded in 2014 by former Criteo and Google alumni, DataBerries is developing a mobile marketing service based on targeted prediction software. The product is designed to offer businesses more targeted campaigns in order to boost customer engagement. The company is based in Paris.
