
EQT promotes seven directors to partners
Nordic private equity group EQT has promoted seven directors to partner in Europe, the US and Asia.
Johannes Reichel became a partner in Munich, having joined EQT in April 2011. Prior to that, he worked for Deutsche Bank in M&A between 2006-2011.
EQT's infrastructure team in Zurich has promoted Ulrich Köllensperger to partner. He joined the GP in August 2010, prior to which he was vice-president at JP Morgan in London focusing on infrastructure and transportation transactions.
Niklas Ringby was promoted to partner in Stockholm. He joined EQT in 2010, having previously worked for four years in Boston Consulting Group's Stockholm office.
Bert Janssens was promoted in EQT's Amsterdam team. Prior to joining EQT in September 2015, he worked for eight years at Warburg Pincus in London, most recently as a principal in the TMT and business services sector team. Earlier in his career he worked at Venturebay, a start-up incubator, and BCG in Belgium.
The EQT New York office promoted Kasper Knokgaard in its equity team and Jan Vesely in its infrastructure team.
Knokgaard joined EQT in August 2007 and worked in the Copenhagen, New York and Munich offices. Prior to joining, he worked with McKinsey, most recently as engagement manager in Copenhagen, where he mainly focused on private equity and corporate finance projects.
Vesely joined EQT in September 2010. Previously he worked as an analyst at Goldman Sachs in Frankfurt, focusing on German and CEE transactions.
In Singapore, Fabian Gröne was promoted in the EQT infrastructure team. He joined the private equity group in 2008 in Munich and worked in Stockholm from 2013 until 2014. He relocated to Singapore in 2017 to build and lead the infrastructure activities in Asia. Prior to joining EQT, Gröne worked at Goldman Sachs in London, first within the investment banking division and subsequently in the merchant banking division.
