Creandum promotes Specht to principal
Swedish venture capital firm Creandum has promoted Peter Specht to principal.
In his new role, he will lead deals of all sizes across Europe and the US.
Specht joined the Creandum investment team based in Berlin in June 2017, and became a contributor to its growing activities in Germany and Spain.
He worked on the Billie, Argent and Voi deals and led the investment in Cargo. One, as well as an additional undisclosed deal. Furthermore, he built Creandum's footprint in Spain, which ultimately led to the investment in Factorial and several not yet public portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Creandum, Specht worked at Bain&Co for three years, where he was a core member of their private equity team and worked on several projects in commercial due diligence, retail, industrial goods, and software. Prior to this, he worked at Google focusing on marketing, and specialised in international business development for Rocket Internet's companies Lazada (Thailand) and Paymill (Germany).
Creandum has recently held a first and final close on €265m for its fifth fund, Creandum V, which targets companies operating in technology sectors primarily based across the Nordic and Baltic regions. The fund invests between €100,000-1m in seed rounds, €1-4m in early-stage rounds and €5-10m in later-stage investments.
