EQT’s Conni Jonsson steps back

EQT’s Conni Jonsson is to step back from his managing director role and will become a working chairman, while Thomas von Koch has been named as his successor.
The management reshuffle, which will take place in March next year, sees Jonsson continuing to work full-time for EQT, advising on investments and interacting further with investors.
Jonsson, one of European private equity's most celebrated and respected figures, co-founded EQT as a spinout from Investor in 1994. He has acted as managing director of the group for the last 20 years.
Koch was also part of EQT's founding team. He has worked on many of the firm's notable deals including ComHem, KBW and Gambro. He was previously head of EQT's equity division between 2008 and 2011. Koch holds an MSc in financial economics and accounting finance from the Stockholm School of Economics.
