Chalmers Innovation opens SEK 110m venture fund
Chalmers Innovation has launched a new venture fund, Chalmers Innovation Capital, with commitments of SEK 110m. Investors include the European Investment Fund, the Sixth Swedish Pension Fund (AP6), Lansforsakringar, the Chalmers Foundation and Chalmers Innovation. Within the next year new investors will be invited to contribute to the fund, which has a hard cap of SEK 250m. The fund will be managed by Chalmers Innovation, a business incubator that supports technology-based business ideas and high-growth companies from universities, colleges and industrial spinouts. Investment from the fund will commence in early October, focusing on seed and early-stage investments.
