Sweden still tops Nordic buyout market
Sweden remains the largest market in the Nordics for buyout deals. Despite absolute values falling from the record year 2006, deal values have remained high.
Without the record breaking deals other Scandinavian countries saw in 2006, Norway did not see the same drop in values from 2006 to 2007, and its share of the Nordic buyout market has remained relatively constant.
Interestingly, fundraising for Finnish funds has increased for buyout and decreased for venture. In our Finland snapshot we investigate these developments in the Nordic market in more detail. (Page 12).
