Inventure holds first close on EUR35m for new early-stage fund
Inventure Fund KY, a venture fund focusing on early-stage technology deals has held a first close on EUR35m. It will invest in the Nordic countries, primarily in Finland. Investors in the fund include the European Investment Fund and Finnish Industry Investment.
Inventure aims to make roughly 15 investments from the new vehicle in significant value creation, and will invest approximately EUR1-3m per business. Upon successful execution of a defined growth strategy, investment size can increase to several million. The investment team at Inventure is led by Sami Lampinen, managing director and Timo Tirkkonen, partner. The fund's target is set at EUR50m.
