Blackstone explores mines in Norway and Sweden
Blackstone Ventures has made plans to explore and develop mines in Norway and Sweden. The licenses, transferred from Falconbridge and Lundin, include nickel-copper mineral properties in the Espedalen, Vakkerlien, Bamble, Ertelien, Skjaekerdalen, Evje, and Hosanger projects in Norway.
Blackstone's immediate plan is to partner with local specialists, with production starting in two to three years' time at the earliest. The investor already has a similar project in Stekenjokk in Sweden where IGE is searching for zinc and cobber.
