
Insight leads €5m funding round for Detectify
Insight Venture Partners has led a €5m funding round for Stockholm-based cybersecurity startup Detectify.
Existing investors Paua Ventures and Inventure also participated in the round.
With the fresh funds, Detectify will invest in international expansion, as well as further research and development.
Insight Venture Partners is currently on the road with its 2017-vintage fund, Insight Venture Partners X, which held a first close in July 2017 on $3.6bn. The fund invests in growth-stage software, software-enabled services and internet companies in Europe and the US.
Previous funding
Paua Ventures along with Inventure structured a seed funding round for the security analysis tool operator in March 2015. The funding amounted to $1.7m.
Company
Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Stockholm, Detectify provides a software-as-a-service tool used for security analysis of web applications. Its programme detects vulnerabilities and threats in websites based on crowdsourced data from so-called white-hat hackers, ethical computer hackers concerned with identifying security flaws in web systems. It employs a staff of 20.
