
Balderton leads $12m series-A for Simple Feast
UK-based venture firm Balderton Capital has led a $12m series-A funding round for Copenhagen-based Simple Feast, a weekly meal-delivery service.
Other participants in the round included 14W in New York, along with existing investors Sweet Capital, ByFounders and a group of business angels that are reinvesting.
The funding will enable Simple Feast to develop its delivery concept and go global.

Headquartered in Copenhagen, Simple Feast delivers sustainably produced food to people's homes in biodegradable boxes. It delivers weekly boxes with three prepared plant-based and organic meals.
The company was established in 2015 by serial entrepreneurs Jakob Jønck and Thomas Ambus. Jønck is the former founder and head of product at Endomondo and later head of international operations for MyFitnessPal until the two companies were acquired by Under Armour. Ambus is the former CTO at Endomondo and later co-founder and CTO at Vavuud, before becoming co-founder and CTO at Simple Feast.
