Naxicap's Technicis Group bolts on AAC Global
Naxicap–backed professional translation specialist Technicis Group has acquired Finland-based translation service AAC Global.
The AAC Global acquisition will reinforce Technicis Group's market presence in Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
AAC is Technicis's eighth acquisition since 2012, the year the group launched its external growth strategy. VO Paris was the first bolt-on, followed by Cogen (2015), Translation Probst (2016), Arancho Doc (2017) and, more recently, TextMaster, which specialises in professional cloud-based translation (2018), as well as HL Trad.
Naxicap acquired a majority stake in Technicis in 2016, investing alongside management.
Founded in 1996, Technicis provides translation and interpretation services. Headquartered in Paris, it currently employs 820 people located in 14 countries throughout Europe, including Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland, as well as Canada, the US and China. The group is targeting sales of €120m in 2018.
Company
With headquarters in Helsinki, AAC provides a range of services, including translation and localisation, customised training and marketing content. The business generated a 14% growth in 2017, achieving a €15.9m in turnover. With 130 employees working in three offices based in Finland, Sweden and Denmark, AAC claims to serve 1,200 customers worldwide.
