
Tesi et al. in €12m series-A for Dispelix
Finnish Industry Investment (Tesi) and 3M Ventures have backed augmented reality optics designer Dispelix in a €12m series-A funding round.
Previous backers Lifeline Ventures and VTT Ventures – the investment arm of VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland – also took part in the round, alongside a new undisclosed investor.
The startup intends to use the fresh capital to further develop its technology, expand its product offering and expand its mass production.

Dispelix raised €1.7m from Lifeline and VTT in April 2016.

Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Espoo, Finland, Dispelix is a designer and manufacturer of proprietary optical see-through displays for augmented reality. Based on an ultra-thin display technology, the AR glasses designed by the startup can be customised according to the specific needs of the user.
