MTIP leads €11m round for Trialbee
MTIP has led a тЌ11m funding round for Trialbee, a Sweden-based provider of technology used in clinical trials.
Existing investors Industrifonden and Briban Invest also participated.
MTIP is currently investing from MTIP Fund II, a vehicle that held a first close in November 2019 on CHF 30m. The fund expects to hold a final close in 2020. It invests up to €25m in return for 10-30% stakes, accumulated over several funding rounds, according to Unquote Data.
The funding round brings the total amount raised by Trialbee to €25m.
The fresh capital will be used to further accelerate the company's growth and enhance its technology platform.
Previous funding
In December 2013, Trialbee raised €2.5m from unknown investors. Subsequently, the company raised $5m in a series-A round from Industrifonden and Briban.
Company
Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Malmö, Trialbee provides technology for patient matching and engagement in clinical trials. The company has 50 employees in its Malmö and North Carolina offices, according to LinkedIn.
