
Industrifonden leads €3m seed round for Open Payments
Swedish fintech company Open Payments has raised €3m in a seed round led by Industrifonden.
Venture capital firms Brightly Ventures and Luminar Ventures also took part in the round, as did angel investors.
Open Payments will use the proceeds to hire more staff and expand its platform into more markets cross the Nordic region and the EU by the end of the year.
Previous funding
In May 2019, Open Payments raised SEK 1.3m (€130,000) in pre-seed investment.
Company
Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Stockholm, Open Payments is a fintech company with operations in Sweden and Finland. It was founded by Jonas Kjellin and Louise Brandt and employs around 10 employees, according to its LinkedIn page.
