
Newion leads €2.5m round for Mediatool
Swedish media management software company Mediatool has raised €2.5m in a series-A funding round led by Dutch investor Newion, alongside J12 Ventures, Almi Invest and current investor Twig.
The startup, which has until now been entirely self-funded, will use the proceeds to scale-up and target more brands globally.
The deal is the first Nordic venture for Newion, which is a pan-European early-stage venture capital firm that invests exclusively in business software.

Founded in 2014 and based in Stockholm, Mediatool is a provider of media planning collaboration software for advertisers and agencies. The company counts fintech Klarna and cosmetics group Estée Lauder among its customers. According to its LinkedIn page, it has around 10 staff.
