
Voima Ventures leads €2m round for Betolar
Finnish company Betolar has raised €2m in a seed funding round led by Voima Ventures.
Taaleri and Valve Ventures also took part in the round.
The company will use the proceeds to start the commercialisation of its product to global markets.
Founded in 2013, the company offers an alternative to cement, a geopolymer technology that "offers a scalable, AI-empowered alternative construction material production with up to 80% less carbon emissions compared to using traditional cement", according to a statement from the company.
Voima is deploying equity from its €40m Deep-tech Fund.

Founded in 2013 and based in Kannonkoski, Betolar is a material technology company specialised in geopolymer-based, low carbon construction materials. The company has around 14 staff, according to its LinkedIn page.
