Zefyr Invest acquires Bramidan from Blue Equity
Private equity firm Zefyr Invest has acquired Bramidan, a Denmark-based producer of waste recycling products, from Blue Equity.
The deal comes five years after Blue Equity invested in the company.
Zefyr will own a majority stake in the company alongside its management and is deploying equity from Zefyr Invest III. Bramidan is its third acquisition from the vehicle, which is backed by a number of local family offices.
Founded in Esbjerg, Zefyr is an investment cooperation between a number of families from Denmark. It invests in medium-sized Danish industrial companies, acquiring majority stakes.
As part of the deal, Kurt Bering Sørensen will become the chairman of the board.

Founded in 1975 and based in Bramming, Bramidan is a supplier of waste handling products, such as balers and compactors for cardboard, plastic and other recyclable materials. It has additional offices in the Netherlands, Poland and Chicago, the US. It has 120 employees.
