
Jolt, Tesi et. al in €30m round for Virta
Finland-based Virta, a developer of electric vehicle (EV) charging platforms, has raised €30m in a funding round led by Jolt Capital, a growth equity firm focused on scaling European tech companies.
Jolt invested alongside Tesi, Finnish Industry Investment and Vertex Growth. All existing shareholders also participated in the round.
With the funding, the company will seek to expand into Asia, which it said was one of the largest markets for EV charging alongside Europe and North America. It said in a statement that it was working with Vertex Growth to build a network of partners to operate EV charging in Asia.
The company added that it's platform was used in 30 countries by nearly a thousand B2B-customers.

Founded in 2013 and based in Helsinki, Virta is an EV charging service for businesses. Its platform helps companies launch, scale and operate commercial EV charging services.
The company has additional offices in Berlin, Stockholm, Paris and London. It employs around 120 staff.
