
CapMan sells Ljunghäll to Gnutti Carlo
CapMan has sold Swedish aluminium die-cast manufacturer Metallfabriken Ljunghäll to Italian automotive supplier Gnutti Carlo.
While the size of the deal was undisclosed, CapMan said it received €6m in carried interest from the exiting funds, Finnmezzanine III A, CapMan Equity VII A, and CapMan Equity Sweden KB, which owned a combined 68.3% stake in the company.
Previous funding
CapMan first bought into Metallfabriken Ljunghäll in 2003, taking a 68.3% stake in the company.
Hans Gunnarsson and Ingrid Asp, who had owned the company until the Finnish GP's acquisition, retained minority stakes in the company, as did its management.
Company
Founded in 1917, Ljunghäll manufactures die-casts for aluminium parts production, mainly for the automotive industry. Its customers include Volvo, Scania, Daimler and Ericsson.
It has revenues of around SEK 881m with net profits of SEK 34m and employs approximately 800 people at its production facilities in Södra Vi, Sweden, and Caslav in the Czech Republic.
