Ratos-backed Bisnode acquires Grufman Reje
Swedish business information business Bisnode, a portfolio company of Ratos, has acquired Grufman Reje, an analytics company specialising in trade and industry analysis.
The deal will be completed on 7 March. Bisnode is aiming to broaden its offering with strategic advisory services for aggregated trade and industry studies.
The GP considered a flotation of Bisnode in 2007, though plans were scrapped as the offering was not fully subscribed. In 2008, Ratos completed a refinancing of Bisnode, which provided the owners with a cash payment of approximately SEK 865m.
The firm bolted on German online search services company Wer liefert was? (WLW) from Seat Pagine Gialle for a total consideration of SEK 411m in 2008.
In 2012, Bisnode divested marketing solutions firm Baby DM Scandinavia as part of a programme to streamline its business and focus on its core offering. Bisnode acquired Debitor Registret (DBR), a Danish credit information company, last month.

Founded in 1993 and based in Stockholm, Grufman Reje is a Swedish consulting company specialising in the analysis of how companies perform in terms of growth and competitiveness. Its core product is the analytics method Simpler.
The company's clients include councils, trade associations, regional clusters and private companies. Grufman Reje employs five people and has an annual turnover of SEK 6m.
