Sunstone raises $500,000 for Traplight
Sunstone Capital has led a $500,000 funding round in Finnish mobile games developer Traplight Games.
The funding round also saw capital commitments from Finnvera Venture Capital, East Wings and a number of angel investors.
As part of the deal, Sunstone Capital's Nikolaj Nyholm joins the board of directors. Nyholm holds an advisory position at Mjang, the Swedish developer of Minecraft, which was recently sold to Microsoft for $2.5bn.
The investment will help Traplight finalise its upcoming game for iOS, What on Earth!, which is scheduled to launch early next year.
Company
Based in Tampere, Finland, Traplight is a mobile game studio currently developing its first title, which will be released for mobile Apple devices in 2015.
Founded in 2010, the company currently consists of 12 employees.

Nikolaj Nyholm is a partner at Sunstone, Henric Suuronen is one of the angel investors, and Riku Rakkola is the CEO of Traplight Games.
