Polaris-backed Skånska Byggvaror acquires Grønt Fokus
Polaris Private Equity portfolio company Skånska Byggvaror has acquired Norwegian furnishings business Grønt Fokus.
It is estimated the deal will increase Skånska Byggvaror's revenue from SEK 430m to around SEK 500m. The two companies had an existing partnership prior to the transaction, whereby Skånska Byggvaror acted as a supplier to Grønt Fokus. The product offerings will be coordinated further over time.
Grønt Fokus, founded in 1996, sells greenhouses, conservatories, storage solutions, swimming pools and associated accessories. Founder Ragnar Follesøy will continue as CEO, although the company is approaching a generation change. Headquartered outside Kristiansand, Norway, Grønt Fokus employs 14 staff.
Polaris backed the MBO of Skånska Byggvaror in January earlier this year.
