
Barclays Capital Italy
Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of the Barclays Group, has appointed Guido Pescione as managing director and head of investment banking in Italy. Pescione will be based in Milan and will report to Cyrus Ardalan, vice chairman of Barclays Capital. Pescione will be responsible for Barclays Capital’s investment banking activities in Italy. The investment banking team manages Barclay Capital’s relations with all major Italian institutions. Prior to joining Barclays Capital, Pescione was managing director and head of corporate client management. After the merger with JP Morgan, Pescione assumed responsibility for the Group’s general, industrial and financial sponsor clients in Italy. Previously, he worked as branch manager and head of corporate finance at Chemical Bank and at Manufacturers Hanover, both based in Rome.
