
Advent International raises E2.5bn fund
Advent International has announced the final close of its most recent global private equity fund, Advent International GPE V, on E2.5bn. According to the firm, the fund was significantly oversubscribed with more than E4bn of interest from investors. A total of 86 investors participated in GPE V, which received strong support from existing limited partners and new investors. Like its predecessor funds, GPE V will invest primarily in Europe and North America. While continuing to focus on investments with a typical enterprise value of E50-500m, the new fund also provides the flexibility to solely underwrite deals of up to E1bn of enterprise value. Target sectors remain business & financial services, technology, media & telecoms, retail & consumer, healthcare & life sciences, and industrial.
